Vaginal change - soreness, irritation and lack of clitorus sensitivity

Hi all.

Im 36 have a 6 year old daughter. Single (no intercouse for nearly 3 years ) not been in a relationship for 16 months

About 2 years ago no I had a sore area on my vulva. I thought it was my underwear but it went on for a while and seemed to get better
GP wasn't concerned. I then lost weight had diarrhea almost every morning, again GP found nothing. Then almost overnight I felt I couldn't get aroused, almost like my genitals had moved position and I couldn't stimulate myself the way I had done and found it difficult to orgasm (still single at this point)
Since meeting my partner, I've found it very difficult to orgasm. Almost like my clitorus is disappearing under the hood. Its small and hardly hardens even when aroused. My labia seems smaller, not as full. It's getting me down. I keep getting intermittent pain /ache in my groin /legs. The gp has prescribed creams but said she can refer me to a vulva clinic (never knew this was a thing!)

Ive no idea what is happening and keep googling things. By daughters birth was vaginal and I vaguely remember the midwife saying she stitch a certain bit of me (I had labial lacerations) to even things out a bit. I wondered of this could have been the start of things.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

lichen sclerosis?

Did you get prescribed Ovestin cream?

lichen sclerosis?

I was going to suggest the same.

No Overstin, just a general moisturiser 😬

I would accept the referral to the vulval clinic TBH. It sounds like you should be seen by an expert and get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Two different ideas, one lichen sclerosis (did your gp examine you at the time?), second is that it's maybe something that would improve with vaginal oestrogen - perimenopause can cause symptoms like that as well.

Good that you have a referral though ... they will sort you out. Good luck.
