I have searched and seen some olde threads on this but wondered if anyone has had breast reduction/uplift/removal of implants recently and can share their experience?

I'm having initial consultations at the moment.

I had a therapeutic mammoplasty as part of my lumpectomy for breast cancer. There is a single round incision around my nipple rather than lots of scarring under the breast. The surgeon is a complete artist, my cancer boob was bigger and droopier than the healthy one and she manage to lift and reduce it perfectly so I have matching boobs.
I think this technique depends on the size of the reduction but it maintains the health of the nipple. I had a lymph node removed from under my arm through a separate incision because it was breast cancer and was more damaging to the nerves.

It is not a pleasant operation and it is painful afterwards. Involves drains and is prone to infection. There are plenty of good surgeons out there and I would use a breast surgeon rather than plastic surgeon. Restructuring a breast is much more complex than inserting breast implants.

You won’t be able to drive for a couple of weeks and will need comfortable bras post op. Crop tops are great.

Drains will be inserted post op until the wound stops draining and you will need to do physio.
Look for a clinic and package that includes a good post op service. You would be surprised how many people have complications. It is major surgery and takes a while to recover. I would say my breast felt right again after 8 weeks.

Do listen to the risks, I do know of one young girl who died of sepsis after a breast reduction so you do need to risk assess properly.
