Low LH and FSH levels

So my periods started acting a little erratic for about 7ish months and then last month just stopped. I'm not pregnant and when the doctor ran some bloods I'm not showing signs of menopause either (I'm 38)
What the blood test showed was that my LH and FSH levels are very low for what they should be. He is referring to the hospital for next steps. I think an endocrinologist based on the last conversation we had.
The only thing I can find on google refers to possible issues with my pituitary gland.
I was just wondering if anyone had experience of this and what it was?

Hello OP - I have also had this and investigations are tbh ongoing...but a first thing anyone would usually ask is around weight / exercise? Being low in bodyweight and exercising a lot can contribute to low LH levels - mine are always problematic, but went through the floor when I trained for a half marathon!

Thank you for replying, sadly I'm the opposite, I need to lose weight and it's just not shifting!
I've basically been told to come off my pill and see what happens.
I feel like I'm just getting dismissed. Would you mind keeping me up to date when you get an idea what's going on please? X

Good luck OP - there is a good chance it is the pituitary gland in that case, or that should be something they look into - that has been suggested to me, once other things don't work. In my case - this happened after the birth of my third child (although was a bit erratic beforehand, good enough thank god for me to conceive however); fallen off a cliff since. At the moment I've been told to put on a bit of weight (my BMI is on the low side but within range, however I'll do as asked...) - run less. Giving that plus something called Inofert a go for 6 months - I'm not based in the UK, not sure if product available there - I think I'm in this for the long haul...! Hope you get some answers xx
