Is this a prolapse??! Help

Is this a prolapse? I am going to start process of getting consult through my insurance today but it takes weeks with them to actually get in front of someone and I need a hand hold.

15 months PP. 45 hour labour of painful contractions (and only ever 2 cm dilated) resulted in EMCS.

I’ve avoided intense exercise up until now because recovery was traumatic and painful for me and to be honest I haven’t had the time or energy until recently. Exercise until now has mainly been walking dog and lifting our heavy DC around all the time.

I’ve been slowly ramping back up, but yesterday did a HIIT workout that was pretty much 20 mins straight of jumping. Felt fine during and after BUT within another ten minutes was literally going to toilet to wee every 5-20 mins with what felt like a full bladder. At first it was a strong, heavy pee (not just feeling like you have to go and a tinkle) and super clear so I thought maybe I was just too hydrated??

It’s slowed down to ‘normal’ intervals between wees again, but can’t shake this swolleen/bloated feeling in my lower abdomen and a very minor pulling sensation…. Am I just being paranoid?! I was religious about kegels during pregnancy but not so much after… I thought this was maybe one of the only benefits of a section (yes I know prolapse can happen w section but is much more rare)

Bladder never really felt the same after child birth anyway but nothing worrying, and the timing of this right after a HIIT is worrying. What do others think?

I am dreading this. My esteem is already continued to be low after the section (my body has collagen issues and reacts terribly to scar tissue, plus emotional scar of not being able to deliver how we wanted).

From quick scroll it sounds like doctors will just fob me off anyway… hopeful for some insight as I’m feeling so low about it and over analyzing every single wee now….

Seeing a doctor is the best port of call but try not to worry in the meantime. And whether it is or it isn’t, start now doing pelvic floor exercises 3 times a day (NHS Squeezy app is great). Try to avoid heavy lifting and if you do have to lift something eg your child, engage pelvic floor muscles first.

the doctors said I have no obvious prolapse but I know from myself if I gain a lot of weight or lift heavy things too much or skip my pelvic floor exercises (or sometimes it has been all these things 😬), I can feel that heavy dragging, sometimes have wee leaks especially if doing jumping. I always choose the low impact option in a HIIT workout for instance. DH has said he can sometimes feel a bulge inside vaginal entrance.

but anyway if I then make sure I’m doing all the things I mentioned above I go back to normal. Pelvic floor exercises make a huuuuge difference. Also doing other exercise, making sure I hold my core in whenever I remember too, has helped. Yesterday I went for a run for the first time in ages and I didn’t have any pelvic floor issues at all. I was so pleased and surprised!!

anyway you should of course get assessed, but in the meantimes there’s a lot you can do to make a positive impact

PS also to say it took me a long time to accept that pelvic floor exercises are for life. I just can’t skip them. It’s annoying but I’d rather that than any surgery etc

If you can I would go for a mummy mot - google and find one around your area. They will give you a proper examination to put your mind at rest and give you exercises etc to try. I’d highly recommend.

Definitely recommend seeing a women’s physio

Update - I did today in London. Thank god for weekend appointments, I was driving myself mad with worry. Turns out my urethra is very swollen and angry. Cervix is fine. But my pelvic floor is extremely weak, rated it 1/5! Very tight on one side and loose on the other. All out of whack.

I'll be getting on physio track through my insurance now I know the issue.

Thanks for everyone who replied.
