How do I use my menstrual cup?

I’m very confused. I read the instructions and I’ve washed it with soap and water. Put it in which took some fiddling around. But then when I did. I could feel it in as I was sitting down. I don’t know if that’s wrong. Also when I went to remove it, I pulled the end tip but it mentions I should cut that section?

sorry I know this is too much information but I’m struggling here and I’m out tomorrow with a long train ride and limited access to loos!! And I find tampons nightmarish!!

If you can feel it then it’s probably sitting too low down or the stem is digging in. They suggest you cut the stem but leave a bit to grab. I squeeze the sides of the base of the cup to break the seal but would not like to have no stem at all! It’s a bit of a learning curve but I’d never go back to tampons.

I used a lot of ky jelly to help that could be why it’s slipping and sliding around!😭

I cut the stem off completely as it dug in too much, if you feel it then it’s too low. It does take a while to get use to but I’m never going back now, stick with it for a few days first

I’m actually a bit scared of pushing it too far but I can still feel like little dip that I made as I inserted it. Again sorry I know it’s stupid how much info I’m giving but I don’t understand this at all I miss the tampons haha

Cut the stem off or it'll dig in.

Rinse under water and fold it in half, sit on the loo and insert as far as is comfortable and give it half a turn to seal it .

When you want to remove it, squeeze the base and turn it while pulling it out. If you can't do it, try bearing down or doing it in the bath.

It takes a while . Took me 3 cycles to get used to it but then I used mine for years and years. I'm so old Mooncup was the only brand at the time, my friend knew the owner so I met her a few times.

Also push in and aim almost horizontally towards the small of your back.

If you feel then it's to low. I would never go back best thing ever for me than tampons never know your on with one. Make sure seal on properly tho or will slight leak, you learn after 2 r 3 times tho

In my case, that "little dip" means that the cup isn't airtight so I could get leaks. I have to insert a finger and push against the back vaginal wall which makes the cup completely 'inflate'. Not sure if that makes sense!

I trimmed the stem but left some. I grab the stem and bottom of cup to remove.
