Blood results and next steps

I've been feeling lousy lately, constant UTIs, headaches, exhaustion and general lethargy. I'm trying to get a GP appointment but in the meantime have had blood tests. The results all appear to be within the normal range and online records say no further action needed but to my amateur eye a couple seem to be close to the acceptable limits.
If anyone can interpret these and say if they could be causing any or all of my symptoms I would be very grateful (and will push/ relax on the GP appointment!)

Haematocrit 0.419 1/1 [0.37 - 0.47]

Mean cell haemoglobin level 31.5 pg [27.0 - 32.0

Total white blood count 8.0 10*9/L [3.6 - 11.0

Shameless bump (but slightly less desperate as I have an in-person appointment on Monday!)
If anyone has any kind of guidance or pointers I'd be very grateful 😊

Those results are within the normal range, nothing helpful there I’m afraid.

I assume you’ve had thyroid and vitamin d tests too?

hairycabbage · 16/03/2023 17:55

Thanks

B12 was 194ng/L
Ferritin level 24 ug/L
Don't think they did a vitamin d test

And thyroid levels 'normal'. I can't see much more info on normal ranges or what it all means!

Even though your ferritin isn't technically low, it is still quite low and could definitely be giving a lot of those symptoms. I've been advised to take ferrous sulphate for similar levels and felt much better within a couple of weeks.

Yes your ferretin could be higher. Mine was recently 11 and I was put on iron tablets, although the GP said to me that anything over 15 is considered "normal", ideally it should be around 100

Have you had covid in the last 6-8 months?

What you describe could easily be accounted for as long covid

hairycabbage · 16/03/2023 19:23

Yes I had Covid in November and was really poorly so I guess it could be that. I already take a multi vitamin, magnesium and vitamin D (I'm vegetarian but eat ok, lots of vegetables and pulses, lots of water but not much dairy).
I wondered if it could be peri menopause but I have no other symptoms whatsoever so can't tell.
The other reason for the blood tests was due to recurring UTIs- I've had numerous courses of antibiotics since Christmas and can't get to the bottom of it.
