Sorry tmi I’ve recently been diagnosed with a mild prolapse :( really worried what the future holds. Can I ask if it’s normal to be able to feel your cervix just before the second knuckle (half finger in) I feel diformed and I’m only early 20s :(

Hey. I didn’t want to read and run. Just to say I’m suffering with the same (although think it’s my bladder). I’ve only just turned 30 and struggling like you. I wanted to try and find ways to manage- have you found anything? I feel uncomfortable a lot 😞

sending love. You’re not alone

Hi OP
How are you now? I just realised have a low cervix too - have 2 kids but no idea if I had this before or after kids. I've got a retroverted uterus too - think they go together sometimes. Just trying to understand more. I used to use tampons but last 8 years used a mooncup which has been brilliant.

I don't understand what this physio does- how did it help?

Bella1994 · 17/05/2023 15:47

Physio can strengthen your pelvic floor muscles which sometimes helps symptoms, it has done nothing for me tho so far :(

I can feel my cervix, and didn't realise it wasn't normal until I went for my first smear and they said it was tilted and low. I've not had any issues with it, I don't know whether I will in the future or as I get older etc.

Bella1994 · 26/10/2023 12:28

How far in? Mine is one knuckle

Hi - sorry to jump on I know the post is a few months old. I've never been able to feel my cervix before but since having my daughter 3 months ago (c-section) I can feel it half a finger in like you. I've been to the walk in centre for bleeding after sex and she said my cervix looks normal and didn't mention it was low?

What other symptoms did you have if any? I constantly feel like there's something in my vagina, like just a sensation that something's there and I think that's what it might be.

Bella1994 · 28/10/2023 08:02

Hey! Three months is still early postpartum so I wouldn’t worry yet! But yes almost like a tampon feeling ?! And I get so constipated as think my womb is leaning on my bowels. Pain in sex in some positions. I never used to feel mine either :( I wouldn’t think a c section would affect your cervix thou but maybe it’s hormones! Is that your first child xx

Yeah I wouldn't have thought so, although according to Google it's a possibility. It's my second child, second c-section. She came out with a hell of a tug though so I'm wondering if everything got a bit dislodged 🙈

I have pain during sex too now. Basically if much more than the tip goes in it hurts 🙈

Did yours just come on out of the blue, or was it after having a child or?

Bella1994 · 28/10/2023 10:45

I noticed it about 6 months after having my little boy natural birth but straight forward I’m only in my 20s I want another baby was thinking c section but now I don’t know aha x
