Reusable period product help

Hoping someone can help.

I've been using reusable period products, almost entirely exclusively, for about 5 years.

I use a mixture of period pants, CSP and a cup.

I had the copper coil fitted 3 years ago, and as a result, my periods (especially for 2 days) are horrendously heavy.

On the worst days, I have to use period pants, a pad AND a cup and still need to change regularly.

It's a nightmare, especially when I'm at work, using our shared toilet (2 men, 2 women).

The problem is, I pass rather large clots which can pretty much fill a cup.
I'm out and about at work quite a lot so can't always get quick access to a bathroom.

I almost had a breakdown a couple of months ago when I SPILLED MY FULL CUP on out work toilet floor (which is WHITE TILES 😭).

Since then, I've been using a super plus tampon on the super heavy days when I'm at work, along with reusable pad and pants.

I'm not going to lie, life is much easier! It works a lot better. I have a tilted cervix and just can't get a good seal with a cup, regardless of brand.

I do feel awful for using them though, especially after 5 years without, even though it's only 1 or 2 a day for a couple of days.

Can anyone else who suffers from heavy periods and large clots tell me how they successfully use reusable sanitary products?? It's really getting me down!

I use super plus tampons with size 5 Always and two pair of granny knickers - I find this combo works really well.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm really hoping to use 100% reusables 😢

Have you spoken to your GP about how heavy and clotty you are ?

I actually use my diaphragm. I also have a tilted cervix and it fits much better than a cup and holds loads. Back it up with period pants on heavier days.

@KangarooKenny I've told them my periods are heavy. I've had bloods taken and iron is ok (although they took my blood when I wasn't on my period).

It's only for a couple of days and I don't feel terrible, just an awful inconvenience!

For heavy I use honour your flow pads, they're giant but I've never ever leaked with them
