Menopausal or not?

I've been having some health issues recently and from dr google and mn I think they're menopause related but I am on medication (noriday) for endo which masks the more obvious symptoms.

Saw dr today about this and asked about bloods whereupon he said the meds would make the tests hard to interpret.

I'd just like to know what's behind the health issues which I suspect is menopause.

What are the health issues and how old are you?

Hormone blood tests aren't very reliable as they fluctuate all the time. If there was one, I'd have had it way back.

Hot flushes, insomnia worse, skin dryer and itchier than usual & more likely to bruise/tear than usual, hair dry (was always greasy), I have a physical disability that symptoms inc tremors they're getting worse, dry itchy vag (thought thrush or bv at first but I've been thoroughly tested and there's no infection as cause), allergies worsening, dizziness, nails dry & keep breaking, teeth falling apart (were always strong before) burning tongue,

I'm so fed up of feeling like I'm falling apart!

I hear you. A lot of those symptoms could be perimenopause (I've got a number myself). It sounds like you've seen the GP and had general blood tests to rule out anything else? If your GP isn't knowledgeable about menopause, look for someone who is.

No blood tests as yet, booked in, but gp saying the noriday will affect test results.

How would I find someone more knowledgeable? Not seen a gynae in years

How old are you? If you’re 45 or over they should diagnose peri menopause based on symptoms not blood tests. Download the balance app and use that to keep a track of your issues so you’ve something to show your GP.

I'm 50 I've downloaded hopefully the right app, not entirely sure how best to use it yet. Done the questionnaire.

Gp seemed to basically have attitude of "it's menopause every woman goes through it what exactly do you expect me to do?!"

That stinks. I've had so many be dismissive. You almost need to get lucky with the right doctor. There are some specialist groups or doctors that you might be more out of. Maybe join a local Menopause group on Facebook or something. You'll probably get some good recommendations.

I've joined a Facebook group recommended by a friend but sadly it seems going private is best option which I cannot afford.
