Uterine prolapse - please help me

like most people I’ve been trying to exercise more since the new year and have been doing pretty good. Had my dd 9 and a bit months ago, second vagina delivery with zero complications. Literally born at home without a midwife because it happened so fast that’s how smooth it went! She was only 7lbs so not a massive baby at any stretch.

anyway I’ve noticed a bit of a weird bulging sensation down there whenever I was doing squats (or anything that calls for my legs to be wide apart really) and hadn’t paid any attention to it, however since I’ve been doing more exercise it started to feel a bit unpleasant and weird so I decided to have a look down below. Fairly certain I have a uterine prolapse, although it’s still inside (not sure if that means anything?). Everything else looks to be in its normal place but there’s a definite bulge at the top of where my vagina opening should be. I’m absolutely horrified and gutted. I have noticed this feeling since I had dd but just thought it was my new normal if that makes sense, like things were a bit more stretched? Also worth noting that I’ve had both a cervical screening and a Mirena coil inserted and neither times the nurse said anything about a prolapse. During the coil insertion once she had clamped my uterus my body sort of pushed the clamp out while it was holding on to my uterus before she had managed to put the coil in (agony!), is there any chance this could have caused this? I mean it doesn’t matter really but I just find it odd that neither nurse noticed it!

what are my chances of this resolving on its own at already 9 months pp? Surely it would have done it already if it was going to. I don’t feel like my GP is going to be very helpful with the state of the nhs at the mo. I’m beyond gutted, from what I’ve read online no exercise, no heavy lifting. I’m only 30. 🥲

sorry to hear this but 100% get an appointment for a proper diagnosis. I had similar symptoms but been checked and no prolapse so you may not have one🤞 I’d really recommend going for a mummy MOT - google to find one in your area. I’ve just had one and it was brilliant. They do internal and external exams everywhere and then can give a specialised physio programme for prolapses etc. also are you breastfeeding? My physio said that this causes more relaxin in the body and when you stop that may help things get back into place. She also said the majority of women will have some degree of prolapse after birth and lots go back to normal x

Can you feel your cervix? I’m only 27 with one baby and told I have a grade 2 prolapse (cervix is about 3cm in) I’m under physio but it causes so much discomfort and I feel broken. I’m trying to push for an operation but it’s so long winded and they don’t like to operate on the young unless they think it’s serious! Sending hugs

Devastated to say I think I have one too. I have no real symptoms, except for struggling to get a menstrual cup in as I usually would. It's just suddenly happened this month.

I have found someone who does a Mummy MOT and enquired about availability (despite the fact DC is 2, so I'm way past postnatal!).

I feel so upset by this. I'm sat here wondering if a hysterectomy would fix it. I have fertility issues anyway and have wondered if a hysterectomy would be for the best.

On the cervix thing, mine is quite high still. I don't know if that means it's a different prolapse or what. But something is definitely not right Sad

Any update on your prolapse and if it has improved. Just recently confirmed I have one with GP and am 5 weeks pp. I am also quite gutted as I didn’t realise this could happen at my age even though I know childbirth can be very traumatic to the body. Did pelvic floor exercises help? I’m being referred to physio so hopefully this will help.
