Hi, I'm pregnant with my third baby and was having some weird symptoms...urinary frequency/burning, aching, heaviness. Checked today and it looks like there is a ball inside that extends out when pushed :(

Has anyone else had this? Can it go away after pregnancy? I'm already using pelvic floor exercisers.

It sounds like you need a test to check for a possible UTI.

My understanding of prolapse (and I'm not a doctor) is that it tends to be less during pregnancy due to the uterus being pulled up. Maybe a swollen bartholin's gland? In any case, I'd go get checked out as soon as you can.

Oh, and yes, you can get a prolapse during pregnancy where the uterus drops down. If so, they can put it back in place.

Thanks. I have UTI screens every 2 weeks so not that. It's just a constant feeling of urgency. Plus a feeling of heaviness/something pushing down. How do they put it back in place?

I'm scared it will get worse after birth.

As far as I know, unless they do it differently now, they just push it back and might hold it in place with a ring type device.

There's a very supportive group on fb FPOPS UK who are very informative you will be surprised at how common this is. There needs to be more awareness. You need to see a pelvic floor physio and urogynaecologist and get advice and info off groups (if you want to, I know some don't like FB etc )
Sending hugs OP xxxx

Hi all,

I am new here. Not really sure where else I could ask a question like this. Also not hip with all the short term spellings.

Background: i, mum age 31 of 2 children, aged 13 and 4. With my 1st there was a noticeable 2nd bump in the last days of my pregnancy underneath my baby bump, which I was told was my bladder.

This was 13 years ago and I didn't connect the dots until recently. I have cystocele (bladder prolapse) and a partial prolapse of my womb(uterus i think) i would like a 3rd. I've been told by the gp that this is fine. That i could potentially have surgery, or if i want another do that, and then have the surgery. (prolapse surgery)

I was hoping for advice on whether it is actually ok to have a 3rd, if anyone has a similar experience. Did they have a c section or vaginal delivery, did symptoms worsen etc etc. If anyone can give any insight. I am aware all circumstances and bodies are different but i feel conflicted and not sure where to look for answers or guidance. I have been referred back to gynae in the meantime.
