Anyone with adenomyosis?

I have been diagnosed with PCOS (through blood work), endometriosis (seen during an unrelated surgery) and adenomyosis through MRI.

My question is regarding adenomyosis though. I have a lot of lower stomach/back and leg pain throughout the month which I manage with pain relief and anti inflammatories. I have exceptionally heavy periods which last about 7 days. But then followed by 5-10 days of blood tinged mucous, sometimes so much that I have to wear a tampon. No funny smell, no thrush or itching. This has been happening for about a year. I have an appointment with my gynaecologist in Jan so will discuss with him but wondered if anyone else has had this blood tinged mucous issue?

Me!
I also have stage 4 Endo as well. I normally get a few days of spotting, 2/3 days of really heavy bleeding, gradually getting lighter and then more spotting. I say "normally", because it can vary. My periods last about two weeks with all the spotting. It's so annoying!

The pain is niggly and achy in my legs and back for days, then labour like for about three days, then achy again for 3. It's hell tbh. I sympathise with you.

MRIs can't positively identify adenomyosis. They are indicative only. Only a biopsy can positively identify the condition, but that can only be performed after a hysterectomy, which may be a drastic way to get confirmation.

I was also provisionally diagnosed with adenomyosis, and definite endometriosis. And did have all the same symptoms as you. I had hormone treatment that stopped all periods and all symptoms. It was bloody bliss!!! Unfortunately I can't recall what the treatment was now as it wasn't necessary post menopause. But take hear that there are answers!
