Hi all, first post on here😌

I’m just looking for some advice as I’m unsure what to do.
I have a 28 day cycle give or take a few days. For the past couple of months I have been spotting a few days before my period which is I know is common but very annoying!!
So basically I have a family Christmas holiday booked and a romantic getaway booked with my partner in Feb. I have worked out that I am going to be on my period for both which is a nightmare. So in light of this I am thinking about taking something to delay my periods during this time.
I used to take Microgynon 30 ED a few years back, which I am reluctant to go on again because of the weight gain. I’ve also heard horror stories about the mini-pill and the coil.

I don’t want to commit to something long term, this is just for a couple of months so I can skip a few periods.

I am leaning towards taking Microgynon again as I know it works but like I said I’m a bit reserved about it. I would really love hear other people’s experiences with it.

Any suggestions?

You could either start the contraceptive pill or take period delay tablets

Get the period delay tablets. Utovlan or something like that I think they're called. You can order them from boots / superdrug.

Period delay tablets are pretty common, Norethisterone is one, you take a tablet 3x a day starting a few days before your period is due and it will keep it away. You can get them from online pharmacies or a prescription from your GP.
