Hi, I have prolapse of the vaginal wall, self diagnosed but I'm pretty sure this is the case.
It's not particulary affecting my me at the moment , pushing it back up when protruding.
Has anyone had experience of contacting GP about this ? what if anything can they do and is it worth bothering them with . I'm middle aged
Thanks if anyone can respond

I would definitely see your GP. At the minimum physio would be helpful and they could advise on whether surgery would be beneficial. Make sure you are referred to a specialist physio.

I know it's not causing any problems now but may if it gets worse, that's why I'd seek help.

I didn’t have one of these, but I did see a private physio after last child just to check all was well. When chatting to them they said they saw a lot of women with prolapses. I’d go to your GP but also look for a private Women’s health physio.

Get a proper physio. Pelvic floor exercises could help and you won't need to do anything. Possibly supplements, change in diet etc. My physio made sure I was doing the exercises right. Told me
how to know I was ready for the next step (sitting lying standing etc) how many to do. She was the best money I ever spent.

Thank you for the advice. I think I know I shouldn't ignore it.

I'm consious that Ive not looked after myself since first covid lockdown, gained a lot of weight , menopause , poor diet and lack of exiercise , marriage breakdown and MH problems.

I need a kick up the backside but struggle with motivation.
Looked up private women's phyios they seem to be around £80 per hour locally which is quite a lot for me, so I may ask for GP appointmnet in the first instance 🙂
