Spotting for a week before period

About December 2021 I had my covid booster. Since then I have had spotting for a week before my period. I have about 2 or 3 days of spotting, then I can wipe bright red. And then another 2-3 days of spotting, and I finally start my period after 5-7 days of spotting.

I'm 35, have a 6 year old & no other perimenopause type symptoms. This spotting started when I got my covid booster vaccine. My periods are regular but have always been heavy & painful, I have previously been investigated for fibroids & endometriosis but everything was fine. I worry if I visit a doctor they'll deny any correlation between the vaccine & the spotting. And now i don't know whether to get the new booster. Do I visit a GP? Do I risk another booster? Should I go on the pill to try & reset my body? I really dont know what to do

"My periods are regular but have always been heavy & painful, I have previously been investigated for fibroids & endometriosis but everything was fine".

How were you investigated?. Did you see a gynaecologist at the time?.

I ask also as ultrasound scans and blood tests do not detect endometriosis if it is present. Endo is usually diagnosed via a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy.

I would seek medical advice from the GP and seek further help from a gynae as this type of issue is often outside a GPs general remit.

Thanks for your reply. I had an ultrasound on my abdomen for fibroids which was normal. And then I had an internal ultrasound for the endo. I've not had keyhole surgery
