What's going on in my womb?

I wondered if anyone might have any wise insights into what might be going on with my menstrual health.

Ordinarily, my periods are very regular and always the same length. They occur every 28 days and last for four days.

I have a Mirena coil fitted, and my periods barely exist in terms of flow - I can get away with wearing a panty liner rather than a pad. I still get horrendous PMT though, and so I use an app to track my cycle simply so that I can identify my extreme mood swings being a result of being pre-menstrual rather than a deterioration of my mental health (I have extensive history in this department.)

I am currently on day TEN of my period, which itself arrived eight days late. The flow is light, as usual, but I've never before had a period that either lasted this long or arrived so late.

Prior to the arrival of my period, I did a couple of pregnancy tests because I was paranoid. I also had very sore boobs and and increased sensitivity with smell. The tests were negative.

I'm 37 and I had my last child 2.5 years ago. Could this be the start of the perimenopause?

I can't help but am bumping for you.

It may just be an anomaly? You haven't had COVID or a booster recently, have you? These have affected my cycle.

My periods suddenly increased from 7 to 10 days and after a bit of investigation (I also thought I was perimenopausal) it turns out I have fibroids. If it's a one-off I wo

Sorry, posted too soon!
I wouldn't be too concerned if it's a one off but otherwise contact your GP.

I had Covid a couple of months ago, but I've had a normal period since then
