Dyspareunia/painful sex - why is no one talking about it?

I've been struggling with this since having an emergency c-section earlier in the year and will be having scans soon to see if there's a physical reason for it. However I also think there could well be some underlying psychological cause due to the circumstances around giving birth (extremely premature). Will have to wait for results to see how much psychology is a factor.

Thing is, I've found lots of medical and wellness articles online discussing dyspareunia but so far no personal stories. It seems like such a common issue for women at all stages of life but we're not talking to each other about it enough. No one in my life knows about this other than DH and it took me several months to work up the courage to see the GP about it so I get why - it's just not easy to talk about. I never even knew it could be a problem after giving birth aside from some dryness discomfort from hormones, breastfeeding etc.

So just wondering if anyone else is going through this right now and also if anyone's had it before and recovered? What were the causes and treatments, and how long did it take you to get back to a normal sex life after diagnosis?
