Iv seen a few debates about woman using baby wipes for their vagina . Wondered what other woman's opinions are ?

So basically , I use baby wipes to clean down their after a wee . As I thought much cleaner , but iv seen some posts , that we shouldn't use any products to clean other then water , toilet roll . As it can mess our natural ph balance or something ? I would of thought if we can use baby wipes on baby's it would be fine , but I'm wondering if it's messing my balance up !

I do have white discharge sorry if tmi ( no strong smell or colour , just normal ) so wondered if that's the cause , ( I know discharge is perfectly normal ) Also seen dont put bubbles / products in your bath as that can mess it up too !?

I keep diluted liquid soap by the loo for extra wiping if needed (dampen toilet paper with it) does the job (excuse the pun 🙈) without blocking the toilet

Also for everyone saying about flushing wipes ! I 100% do not put wipes down the toliet ! As I know it causes drain blockages , and it's definitely no good for the environment. Also it's common sense not to flush wipes . I should of mentioned in my op that I don't flush them lol , I have a bin and just pop them in there and dispose of them properly . X

You should switch to toddler botty wipes, same price but can flush them! I use them if I feel a bit sweaty or what not. But not for wees

Do not flush them even if they are marketed as flushable!! The advice (if anyone reads the small print) is to only flush one at a time on a flush, and even then you asking for sewer blockages as they do not break down in the same way as toilet paper. The "standards" they have to meet to be classed as flushable are flaky at best.

Funny we had a plumber here for a bathroom issue and I did ask him his views on the officially "flushable" wipes.
He told us these are okay and different to cosmetic and baby wipes as contain less fibrous tissue and hold a higher water content so breakdown better within pipeworks etc.
We use the Andrew ones as and when but never had an issue.
He did say many of his clients have caused costly damage by flushing vast volumes of wipes but "sensible use of flushable" ones have never caused any issues he's come across.
But why would you need them every time OP? I guess no harm if these make you feel better but seems excessive?!

I didn't even use babywipes on my babies unless I had no choice (eg changing a poo nappy somewhere with no water). Why put all that extra petrochemical rubbish next to perfect skin? Not to mention the environmental cost.

I've used washable wipes with just water on both myself and my dc, and agree that they are very pleasant to use.

Our vulvas are self-cleaning, as are our baby girls'. They need nothing more than physically removing urine/poo/blood etc and a regular wash with water.
