Floods of adrenaline

I had my first anxiety attack 5 days ago. It was horrendous, lasted 6 hours and I was hospitalised.

I'm under a lot of pressure at work and in life, but am generally very happy and have a positive mindset, no depression or history of any mental health issues mild or otherwise.

I am now waking up every morning with waves and waves of adrenaline in my chest without having any negative thoughts or worrying about anything. Is this normal?

My doc has prescribed beta blockers for day to day, and stronger stuff for a full on attack, but I'm trying Kalms in the hope that I can manage it in this way.

I'd love to hear some advice on how anxiety attacks come about, how you can talk yourself out of them and also what you think about this constant adrenaline feeling - is this anxiety? Even though my mind is focusing on mundane tasks (making the bed/Sunday lunch etc) and not on any worries; why am I flooded with adrenaline?

Thanks for any help.

I’m getting this too after getting Covid in December and it’s a common long covid symptom. Started about 2 months after testing negative. Have you had covid recently?

Beta blockers block the adrenaline so you don't feel it the way you are, they work quickly. Take the beta blockers.

I get this when my B12 levels are low. Literally wake up in a panic, heart racing etc. have you had any blood tests done?

I found cutting out all caffeine (even chocolate) worked well to help minimise this.
