Getting pregnant after 2 c sections

Hi All.

I have 2 children both through c section. With my last birth the surgeon said I my uterus was stuck to my bladder and advised not to have any more kids as there would be risks.
Wondered if anyone has had the same outcome and planning on have more kids?
Thanks

I've had three sections, but healed well each time with no internal scarring attaching to other body parts.

If the doctor has said not to, then you should go with that. The worry would be the larger you get, the scarring could tear open your womb or bladder which would put both yours and the foetus' lives at risk.

Or perhaps see if this can be fixed with an operation, unsure if NHS would do it though.

The problem with surgery to resolve adhesions (scar tissue) is that each operation generates more scar tissue, so such operations are very much weighed up to ensure the benefits outweigh the risks

My 3 were all c-sections. First DD was elective due to breech, then my DS was emergency after an awful failed attempt at delivery, then DD2 elective because of how bad the labour/failed delivery was with my DS. Apparently I have a tilted cervix and narrow hips.

Following as I was told the same after my second section (which was only a couple of months ago so not planing another just yet). Were you told what the risks were OP? I wasn’t given much info other than ‘it would be something to think about’

For my second birth they said it was lucky I'd had a second caesarean (failure to progress) as my uterus was stuck to my bladder, was very stretched and likely to rupture if I'd had a natural birth. Could they advise on whether an early elective caesarean would allow a safe third pregnancy for you?

I've had four. They advised me to get sterilised after my third as I have a lot of scar tissue inside and they said any more surgery could damage my bladder and bowel. I went on to have another baby by c section and all was well. I did get sterilised though after that one as I thought another would be pushing it.

@Orangestars738 no he didnt tell me much either. Just that he would advise not to have anymore.

@Winginit73 oh that might be an option thanks for the idea. Maybe also have more scans to check nothing is going to rupture!

I was told by my surgeon during my 2nd c section not to have another due to my paper thin womb and my womb was also stuck to my bladder. Arranged a follow up several months later to discuss and he was really clear on the dangers to me and that it would be unlikely for me bring able to carry a pregnancy to full term.

11 years later and we wanted another DC and luckily I got pregnant quickly. At booking appt with midwife I went through my history, 2 c sections and what I was told by the surgeon. She then requested my notes from my 2nd pregnancy and said she would refer me to a consultant as I wanted another c section and that depending on what was in my notes I might have to have see the consultant throughout my pregnancy have mire checks & scans etc.

In the end everything was fine. No one was concerned, consultant read my notes and said that she didn't need to arrange anything different and I just had the normal nhs scans and checks.

C section was at 39 weeks, no problems at all and DC3 was absolutely fine, as was I.

I don't know if it will be the same for you but wanted to share my positive story.

Not having anymore though!
