Internal soreness

I am currently under gynae for heavy bleeding due to fibroids. I was due to have an ablation and had Zoladex injections monthly to prepare my womb and was put on hrt as it can put you into early menopause.
I didn't go ahead with the ablation as it took so long for the appointment to come through and I had more time to read about it and decided against it. I had a polyp removed and a d&c last Sept which sadly hasn't helped so with be going ahead with the ablation.
I was taking hrt right up to the procedure last year but then stopped as I wasn't having the Zoladex injections anymore. After that I developed soreness and stinging when having sex. I spoke to my gp and she told me to start taking the hrt again which I did and it really helped.
As I am still having the bleeding issue I have been back to gynae who have now told me the hrt was just for short term use and to speak to my gp again for something different. I spoke to my gp and she said for me to stop the hrt again.
I recently had internal ultrasound scan and that really hurt, the same stinging as before, and it hurt for a while afterwards.
My gp mentioned an oestrogen pessary might help, but I was thinking about the soreness coming back after stopping hrt. Is this due to the lining being damaged/thinned having the Zoladex, or would this be a peri menopause symptom? I did have night sweats and sleeping issues when having the Zoladex but apart from the sleep issue, I've not had any other symptoms.
I know I should talk to my gp again about this, but she is currently just doing phone calls for things like this, and I find it a bit difficult to have a conversation like that, I prefer face to face. I think it would also be helpful to have some suggestions from you all to help me during our next appointment.

Have you tried Ovestin cream? It's so 'weak' it's not even considered to be HRT; but has a very small amount of oestrogen in which makes a huge difference to most women who use it regularly.

I'd say it was definitely worth trying.

As for the rest, I'm sure other posters will be able to help. I've had some great advice on here.

It could well be a perimenopause symptom. Ask your GP for topical oestrogen in the form of Vagifem pessaries or Ovestin cream. Follow the instructions to the letter - every day for two weeks then every three days. You should be much more comfortable.
