Depressed since giving birth

Ok so here is my birth story. I gave birth 4 years ago at the age of 26. It was an easy delivery no intervention and I was in labour for only 2 hours.

But I had back pain, hip pain, coccyx pain, sciatica, couldn’t empty my bladder, bulging in my vagina, shooting pains in my vagina and gas incontinence. My vagina never tightened up and I never enjoyed sex again and can not orgasm.

I went to the doctor 7 times, saw a gynaecologist twice, a womens health physio and 2 urology nurses on the nhs. But they all said nothing was wrong with me.

So I recently went to a private gynaecologist who said I have puborectalis avulsion.

This is basically where the muscle rips off the bone. So I’ve done some googling and the puborectalis is called the ‘love muscle’ it is responsible for orgasm strength. The puborectalis is also responsible for supporting your organs and damage causes prolapse.

So basically I’m never having an orgasm again and can say goodbye to any sort of intimate relationship. I am also going to have prolapses and pain for the rest of my life.

Here is what else I found.

Trauma to the puborectalis component of the levator ani (‘puborectalis avulsion’) is common after vaginal childbirth, occurring in 10–35% of women after vaginal delivery.
• Avulsion is a major etiological factor in the pathogenesis of female pelvic organ prolapse, especially cystocele and uterine prolapse.
• Avulsion increases the likelihood of prolapse recurrence after reconstructive surgery.
• The main priorities for future research should be prediction, prevention and surgical treatment of this form of trauma.

If it is so common that a third of woman have it WHY DOES NO ONE TELL YOU THIS BEFORE YOU GIVE BIRTH.

I’ve lost all hope for the future and it looks like my sex life was over at age 26. The doctor is going to put me under psychiatric care but tbh what is that going to do. You cannot reattach muscle to the bone.

The top of my vagina is literally just skin and bone, I don’t get aroused, can’t feel any friction during intercourse and can’t orgasm because I have no muscle.

The do your kegels is a load of BS, kegels don’t fix broken muscle, which a third of woman have.

Please don't lose hope. If you have a diagnosis you can take that to your GP and ask for another referral and ask for a treatment based on this diagnosis. Could a specialities help? What did the private doctor recommend?

I meant specialist clinic.

What’s the point you can’t reattach muscle to the bone. I am literally broken, never going to enjoy sex again.

I am done
