Stress and pain in breast

I’ve been going through some severe work related and emotional stress over the last few months

I’ve been noticing persistent dull aches in my right breast which seems to be worse when I’m mega stressed (which is most of the waking day recently). I do have a blocked pore / duct in my nipple but not sure this could be causing?

I also feel an occasional popping / bubbling type pain under my right rib

I appreciate this isn’t a GPs office but are there any obvious explanations or any words of advice so I feel less alone and (even more) stressed?

My GP still isn’t doing f2f appointments

I have a constant dull ache in my right breast that seems to ease when I come on my period. I was examined and the doctor thought she felt a lump so was referred to the breast clinic. No lump was found but they talked to me about mastalgia and that it can be affected by my cycle. So there's other things it's likely to be before it's the worst case scenario but you still need to insist on seeing the doctor or being referred to someone. They can't just leave you with nothing.

As a former BC patient, my advice would always be to get anything that is different checked. You can't put pain in your breast down to stress. Of course it may be that but it also needs checking out.

I would ask your GP to refer you to the local breast clinic where you can be properly assessed. Don't be brushed off! Good luck.

Thank you. I will contact my GP and ask for a referral.

I’m 39 if that makes any difference

As far as I'm concerned your age makes no difference at all. Any changes whatsoever should be investigated. Better to be safe!

Exactly what formidable says above. I was at the breast clinic recently and had a benign cyst diagnosed after spotting an indentation that was new. They said they wanted to check anything that was new and that I was right to come. Do get checked out
