Hi Mumsnetters,
Just looking for some advice and to see if any others have experienced similar

I gave birth to my first child at the beginning of June. A long back to back labour with an episiotomy. I did have a small infection in the episiotomy wound after which cleared up with antibiotics. I also had a very low iron level which led to a blood transfusion

Anyway, fast forward to the end of July. I was put back on the pill (Cerazette). I had taken this pill for a few years prior to conceiving with no periods/bleeding at all. From starting the pill, I was having a period every 2 weeks or so. I am also anaemic again which isn't any surprise!

I had a doctors appointment mid September about the bleeding. They told me to continue with the pill for a while longer as hormones can change after labour etc. However I had another appointment today as I have bled continuously now since the end of October. It isn't painful or excessively heavy. I probably change pads every 2-3 hours. The doctor advised me to try a different pill and to have an early smear test/look at my cervix

I made the mistake just now of looking at my vagina/vulva for the first time in a while. I don't mean to sound so crude (so I apologise) but it looks like a train wreck. My vagina is literally gaping and I can see the inside of my vaginal wall (I think) very clearly. The last time I looked was about 2 months post partum and it didn't look anywhere near as bad as this. Though I wasn't worried before, I now am and am imagining all sorts

I just wondered if anyone else has any experiences please? I'm hoping it's just to do with the hormones from the pill.
