My periods have suddenly stopped (not pregnant) should I make a GP appointment?

My cycles have always been really regular, around 25/26 days (I track them on my garmin watch).

Hoever, my last period just hasn't shown up. Was due around the beginning of August so is now a month late.

I'm 43, definitely not pregnant, have been having some issues with weight gain and feeling very hot for about a year now.

Do I make a GP appt about my MIA period? Or is this just how it is now at my age?

Oh I don’t know but same here and looking for advice!
My periods have always been very regular until I had the vaccine in May and they suddenly went to very short cycles and then nothing since august. Not pregnant and weight gain. Not sure if I’m looking for peri symptoms though as they literally went out of sync post vaccine. Have you done anything like see gp?

@Mollythewally You should keep track of your cycles for 6 months. You are possibly going into peri menopause which can happen any time coming up to 45. Menopause (last period ever ) happens at around 51 in the UK but some women get there earlier.

There is no need to see your GP yet, just keep an eye on it all.

If you have worse symptoms, see your GP and discuss HRT which is advised for women whose periods stop before 51.

The website of Dr Louise Newson has masses of info.
