Thin hair on one side of head

So for a while now I've noticed I've got less hair on the one side of my head, I know that's normal but on the one side of my forehead the hair is so much thinner and there is less of it. In general (you can tell from the awful picture) how thin and wispy my hair looks. That is at end end of the day and after getting wet in the rain but it literally ALWAYS looks a mess even if it has been straightened.

I've never dyed my hair so it is not damaged from that but I do wash and dry my hair every other day. Rarely straighten it because it simply doesn't last ten minutes. Rarely have it up either. Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem? Or thicken the hair there it's so weak and snapped and I feel like my hair always looks messy and just makes me feel like everything looks a mess ☹️

I can’t see a picture?
How old are you? You say for a while -thyroid issues, low iron, low B12/Vit D can all cause thinning hair as can peri/menopause.

I’ve had all of the above! Grin & have had ongoing treatment for several years.
But, my hair is now (finally) thicker than ever after using SLS free & paraben free shampoo & conditioner. I stated using it last year & my hair is now amazing. Worth a go after ruling out all the above issues.

For some reason the picture won't upload. I'm 21 and to be honest I think it really came an issue when I become pregnant last year. Thank you, I didn't realise iron levels could be a cause. I have been meaning to get my iron levels checked also as I bruise so easily. I'm always covered in bruises, especially on my legs and most of the time I don't even know where they've come from or how I've done them. So perhaps that could be a factor.

Sounds like iron deficiency. Off to GP
