Hiya,

I have tried so many diets, capsules, shakes, teas coffees etc.. and seen amazing results for all BUT NOT FOR ME and I can not understand why..
Since I had my little girl (emergency c-section) in 2017
I look as if I'm 6 months pregnant if wear tight clothes and I'm not..
I hv to wear baggy clothes and feel so down all the time..
I've tried fat freezing too..

I do hv endometriosis which was diagnosed in 2012 but hvnt been checked again since 2012...

I don't understand why I'm so bloated and it's constant too.. I can not get rid of it at all..

Anybody know what it could be?

Thank you Smile

Endometriosis can make you so bloated that you look pregnant, so that's definitly something to get to gp about and push for an updated investigation.

Another thing that could cause you to look pregnant is diastasis recti.....the separation of ab muscles through pregnancy.

I'd get to the gp and tell them how badly this affects your self esteem and you want to find the problem and take action.

Garman · 07/05/2021 22:23

Sounds like it could be diastasis recti as mentioned.

SueKoshal · 07/05/2021 23:53

Thank you so much..💕 can this be put right then??

If it is diastasis recti it requires surgery to correct it. Have you been to a doctor about it since your daughter was born or just trying to reduce it with weightloss etc? They'd know very quickly if they examined you.

BowserJr · 08/05/2021 00:31

Do you have an apron of loose skin? I've had two c sections and two enormous babies, so even if I lost all of the weight, I will still have the overhang.

SueKoshal · 08/05/2021 01:29

Yes I've been to the doctors but they're always saying it happens when u hv children I've not been examined..
I've tried lots weight-loss wise..
I know it's something because it can't be normal...

It can do, first step is request physio referral as they assess you first. Then physio can refer you further down the line if it's something that will need surgery to correct.

Be quite pushy with gp if they don't seem to be listening. If they don't refer you, make another appointment requesting a different gp till this gets done.

UsedUpUsername · 08/05/2021 07:27

Physio would understand diastasis better than a GP and they can show you what exercises to do to help close the gap.

You can also do YouTube videos to help until you get a referral

I've been complaining about it for 3- 3 1/2 years back and fourth to GP..

I used to be size 6-8 after having my little boy I was 10 in 2015, but ended up having abit of a pooch after then my little girl was born 2017

Now it's 2021 and I'm still suffering..
my GP is bloody hopeless..

Now I wear 14-16 just because of my belly so wear loose clothed to hide my stomach..
if didn't hv my belly sticking out I could wear 10-12..

If I wore right size I'd get asked straight away are u pregnant, when u due etc

😒😒😒😒

Have you tried intermittent fasting? After I had I always looked like I was pregnant until I tried it and saw my stomach reduce.

becca3210 · 08/05/2021 14:07

Look into the Mutu System might be helpful

Askinvillarblues · 08/05/2021 14:26

I don’t want to worry you unduly, but have you mentioned to your GP that you are concerned about an ovarian cyst or ovarian cancer? I’m sure there was a lady on here a while back who was worried that she looked pregnant although the rest of her was slim, and it turned out to be ovarian cancer. Really don’t want to panic you as it’s probably diastasis recti like others have mentioned, but I do think it would be worth saying that to your GP just to get it ruled out.

Amammi · 08/05/2021 14:30

Is it possible that you have fibroids? They can be associated with endometriosis. I’d ask your doctor to get a referral for you.

SueKoshal · 08/05/2021 22:03

I'm not sure what it is to be honest.. I know got endometriosis which was last checked when had surgery in 2012 not been checked again..
My Nan had ovarian cancer..

I thought with cancer you would lose weight..

It's just my stomach that's the problem and I do get pain too..

Just wish I knew..

Totally different scenario, but my son is actually being treated for stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and he had absolutely no symptoms beyond a lump on his neck - both when he was first diagnosed with stage 1 and then when he relapsed. So cancer doesn’t always have lots of symptoms. I’m sure yours has a simple explanation but I do think it would be worth pushing to be seen, mentioning that you are concerned about ovarian cancer and that you have family history. That should get you checked out properly and hopefully your mind put at rest. I really don’t want to alarm you though as my son’s scenario is totally different and most of the time false alarms are exactly that.

SueKoshal · 12/05/2021 12:14

Thank you.. I'm not losing any weight, but do look 6-7 months pregnant..
I just need and want to get rid of it.
I didn't know endometriosis causes bloating and I was last checked 2012, when I was diagnosed..

Is there anything I can try/do to get rid of my pregnant looking stomach.... 😒
