This appeared on my skin a couple of months ago and was much smaller. It's like a cluster of raised bumps on my skin. I didn't really pay much attention to it but it's starting to spread and be really itchy. I thought it could be psoriasis but it's not dry at all just raised.

Im going to call the GP on Tuesday when they open again I just haven't gotten round to it having had a baby 6 months ago

Hives? Eczema?
Hope you get it sorted on Tuesday - don’t itch! Worst thing you could do!

Happysong · 02/05/2021 22:48

It does look like a rash, but if it's been there that long I'd get it checked by a doctor ASAP.

pinkplantpotspot · 02/05/2021 22:55

It looks like a trauma injury, have you got any pain in the area?
Have you had a covid vaccine recently?

MrsZlatan · 02/05/2021 22:56

Shingles?

MySaladDays75 · 02/05/2021 22:57

Shingles

inappropriateraspberry · 02/05/2021 22:59

Looks like it could be a stretch mark, but being bumpy wouldn't fit.

Bigdreamer9 · 02/05/2021 23:00

Hi, this isn’t helpful but I has something very similar to this. It started on my wrist and then spread to my forearm, upper arm and back/shoulder. You could see scratch marks where it looked like It spread on contact. I went to the doctors for it multiple times and they couldn’t figure it out, tried all sorts of creams and nothing worked. It was quite scaly and it often felt hot. It took months but it did seem to clear up on its own. Please let me know what your doctors say as I’m interested!

Photo is after I had it for months and when it wasn’t inflamed.

looks like shingles

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 02/05/2021 23:10

@MrsZlatan

Shingles?
I had shingles and don't remember having anything raised like that. Just extreme shooting nerve pain.

OP are you having pain with it?

daisypetula · 02/05/2021 23:12

Shingles

CorpusCallosum · 02/05/2021 23:20

My first thought was Shingles but I hope for your sake it's not (and is in fact something much less awful) 💐

20thCenturyGhosts · 02/05/2021 23:21

Shingles. Is in right location and looks exactly like mine did

gingergiraffe · 02/05/2021 23:22

I think if it was shingles it would have spread more in a couple of months and become very painful.

Blueberry40 · 02/05/2021 23:36

Looks like urticaria (hives)- can be caused by an allergic reaction to a food/drink or medicine and itchy as hell!

SassyPants87 · 03/05/2021 01:30

Hi all thank you for your responses, its definitely in the right location for shingles but not painful at all, just really itchy at times and lately it's been spreading further almost as a line further down the torso, again just like shingles would but I don't think it is shingles

No not had the vaccine yet. I'll just have to wait and see what the doctors say but most likely they won't know either!

Contact dermatitis? I can be sensitive to washing powders and in the last few months have become sensitive to my cats.

Not enough to stop them getting petted Hmm just when they try to bump their faces.

Hope Dr can shed some light for you, and, like PP’s, that it isn’t shingles. My shingles didn’t itch but was more a shooting pain along the rash.

pinkplantpotspot · 03/05/2021 03:24

@SassyPants87 I would call 111 and say you suspect shingles as there is only a few days window for effective treatment.

Angelina1972 · 03/05/2021 03:45

Molluscum Contagiosum.
It’s a member of the herpes virus family. Very contagious which is why it’s spreading. It’s not dangerous at all and I think you can only have it once. I don’t think there’s a treatment for it, and it takes months to go away!

Speedymarie · 03/05/2021 03:52

It's really weird but I have only ever heard of molluscum contagiusum from mumsnet, it used to be a big thing years ago, along with separate mmr vaccines which seems to be forgotten. Odd.

My husband had this years ago but my skin doesn't look like typical molluscum unless it can take different forms?
