Calling anyone suffering with this! I've always been a hairy girl and it's now getting me down. My leg, armpit and pubic hair is so thick and dark that when I shave it literally grows back by the next day. I've tried waxing but it doesn't last much longer. Grooming often means stubble rash that can become quite sore, especially when on holiday and have to do it more regularly. Not sure of point in this post but guessing just wondering if I'm not alone or any advice that has helped you?

You could investigate laser hair removal. It's most effective on dark hair.

Im assuming I’m a lot older than you but I deal with it mainly by not caring too much anymore. I shave my legs if they’re gonna be on show or if on holiday and do my armpits daily just for hygiene really. I also shave my tache every day and pluck my nipples weekly so as not to give DH a fright.

I’ve given up on pubic hair and just wear big knickers/ bikini, the itch and rash and ingrown regrowth are just not worth the hassle to me.

I once stayed with a Greek family where the mum and two daughters were au naturel, big hairy armpits, belly ladders, pubic thighs and found them so inspiring. They were just so confident, and such a close family (also very beautiful!)

On a practical note I do have a no no which did seem to reduce regrow the one time I could be bothered with it.
If money was no object I’d probably get lasered everywhere.
I know it’s a cliche but I’m thankful I’m healthy and remind myself it’s not the worst problem to have.

I’m rambling but try to my fret too much, I’m
Sure you’re lovely!

Thank you so much for this!! It's made me feel better to realise that I should be thankful for who I am and for my health. I guess the whole focus these days is to be hair free and I feel like I'm the only one who struggles. I'm 37 btw

I have pcos and hair all over me 😣. I bought a phillips lumea and it has changed my life! My pubic reigion would be back thick and itchy within hours..now takes about 2 weeks and finer when it does come and my snail trail Blush doesnt come back at all now! It didnt work on face though as my hair is too fine there.

I got a Lumea too. Recommend by Mumsnet. It's made a huge difference, from being very hairy I probably only need to shave once a fortnight if that.
