How often do you get itchy 'down there'?

I've realised that I get this quite a lot and sometimes for a long period of time. I've just learned to deal with it really. Is this something women generally get and how do you know whether it's thrush or something else? I always assume it's just an itch and will go away, but I'm starting to think how I need to take these things more seriously now (in my 30s and have a baby). Only ever been with one person and he's only been with me, so no sti concern. Smears always come back fine.

So how often do you get issues and do you just buy thrush cream when you do?

After every period I get itchy. Or of I let my pubes get too long wear or wear lacy nicks. I think ot's because I suffer with dryness though (my oestrogen is a bit low). I just use a bit of vagisil creme for a day or two then I'm good though.

Used to be constant, now not for over two years. Cleared up during pregnancy for some reason and hasn't yet returned.

Very rarely, almost never. I have had piles in the past and they itched but not my vulva.

I'd hate that, you have my sympathy.

If it is a recurrent problem, maybe change your laundry products and use an intimate wash.

Someone above mentioned Vagisil cream and I've been told that is good.

Exactly the same happened with me!

Only when I had thrush. And I knew it was thrush because it wanted to itch the f**ker off. No amount of itching would relive it.

Also avoid any scented products and stick to cotton pants.

Thanks this is really useful. I'll look up vagisil.

Avoid femfresh too- I spoke to a gynaecologist a while back and she said she's met loads of women who have problems with it.
