Are these symptoms likely due to fibroids?

I know I have fibroids. I'm wondering if my collection of problems could be mostly due to the fibroids, and whether I need to try and pursue some kind of surgery / a hysterectomy. I currently have Mirena which has stopped the heavy bleeding which is amazing but these other issues are really affecting me. Welcoming any theories! Thinking of calling GP during the week.

  • Bloated, swollen tummy (can feel it pressing in when lying on front, get asked if I'm pregnant due to the shape, despite being size 10/12 and losing weight recently)
  • Can feel a hard lumpy area in my vagina up behind my cervix, wondering if something is prolapsing or pushing in.
  • Need to wee twice in the night and frequently throughout the day, to the extent people comment on it.
  • Sorry TMI but can't do a "proper" poo like I used to only mini ones!
  • Intermittent swelling for a day or so e.g. hands feeling puffy.
  • Zero libido :/
  • Mood swings (get inexplicable rage every so often).
  • Cystic acne, seems hormonal / cyclical

I am guessing the last few could be Mirena side effects.

I would ring your GP, I don't want to panic you but a number of those symptoms ring alarm bells for ovarian cancer. But could also be due to the fibroids. I had zero libido with the mirena!

I have most of these symptoms including the hard lump in my belly and pressure on bladder and horrendous periods too...currently on day 15 of heavy bleeding Hmm. I had a scan a couple of weeks ago and have been diagnosed with several large fibroids including one about 14cm wide...apparently my uterus is the size of someone who is 16 weeks pregnant! I'm waiting a gynaecologist appointment to discuss options for treatment. Best to see your GP though to rule out anything more serious including ovarian cancer as mentioned by pp.

Thank you! Good point, I hadn't thought of that possibility. Better to find out...
