Leaky fanny

So. I've had two kids, 4 and 1, both vaginally. After having my second, I noticed that I was constantly leaking in some way. Even a few hours after a shower, my knickers were already damp as if I'd wet myself. I didn't feel like I was pissing myself in the traditional way, is: when laughing or coughing. It just felt like it was a constant subtle leakage. I would smell like a men's urinal within a day, or sometimes dischargey and fishy.
I was back on the pill, and after a few months of settling hormones and random unpredictable periods,I settled into no periods at all, and the leakage went away. So much so, I forgot it ever happened.
A year later, My husband had a vasectomy, and after getting the all clear, I came off the pill. Within weeks, the leakage started again and I've found myself back in the daily turmoil of smelling pissy and unfresh within hours of getting dressed.
Has anyone else found this when coming on/off the pill? Looking for support or solutions. Xx

Sounds a little like bacterial vaginosis or BV as it's known, it's to do with the PH balance of the vagina & can come & go. I think there are tests you can buy from the chemist to confirm if it is that or not and it's easily treated.

I would go to a GUM clinic and get tested. I had discharge and it was thrush Blush I was horrified that I didn’t notice it was that myself. Try a feminine wash instead of soaps.

There actually could be a few different reasons for this so best to discuss with your GP. In the meantime, keeping the hair trimmed short, wearing cotton knickers and practicing keigels may help to rule out certain things

The Pill connection seems a bit odd.
If women leak all the time it can be a fistula ( that's whole in the vaginal wall from the bladder, caused by giving birth.) It happens more with very long labours where the vagina is really compressed by the baby's head. It needs surgery to fix it. So at first I thought that might be what you had, but the Pill connection doesn't make sense with it. I'd go and see your GP and ask to be examined and/ or referred to a urogynaecologist if swabs etc don't show anything.
