I'm done with this Uterus! AIBU?

I'm prepared for you to tell me I am BU but quite frankly i am done with my uterus!! It is causing nothing but pain and trouble and I'd quite happily get rid of it. Yes, I know that in itself has implications but the prospect of potentially 10 more years of it being "functioning" is filling me with dread.
I had increasingly heavy bleeding over a couple of years which led to me being diagnosed with fibroids. I had a good old "miracle cure for heavy bleeding" mirena fitted with led to another year of hell with even longer and heavier bleeding until it bled itself out. Then I eventually got referred to gynae and cashed in my private medical cover (thank you work!) to get seen quickly and had uterine artery emblisation to supposedly treat the fibroids. I had a few months of lighter periods after that but once they've got back into a "normal" rhythm (every 23 days, bleeding for 8, if i'm really lucky) they are back with a vengeance and I'm flooding through super tampax every couple of hours on the worst days. I'm tired, cranky, bloated, crampy, and wearing 2 forms of protection just to make it through work meetings that last over an hour. I'm currently awaiting a follow-up scan and subsequent consultation with gynae again.
I am done with this!! My uterus has nothing to offer me except pain and discomfort and a large bill for sanitary protection!
Sorry, i needed to vent!

horray glad it went ok @Lovemusic33 I think I'll be asking about ablation if they don't find any on my follow-up scan.

What did they do, if anything, re the fibroids?.

Hopefully you will receive the results of the biopsy soon.

If ablation is given the go ahead can write of my experience re this surgery (which is performed under GA).

I was told if my fibroids stay the same size I can go ahead with the ablation, if they were bigger I would have to have the, removed first. I’m not sure if that means they will come away when they zap away my uterus lining?

I am considering getting sterilised at the same time as the ablation (if it’s possible), I’m aware that it’s very unlikely to get pregnant after ablation but it’s advised to use contraceptives just incase, I don’t want to go back on the pill or any other hormones so it kind of makes sense.

I immediately and aged for ages and actually put off my hysterectomy for a year out of sheer terror at ending up wizened and with worse symptoms. Had every Th ing whipped out including ovaries so we a year ago at 38 and haven’t looked back. It’s bloody brilliant, wish I done it years ago

Update
Been for an MRI and to see the Consultant. The MRI shows the embolisation has shrunk the fibroids as would be expected but he did mention one still protruding into my womb and my womb has shrunk by about 20% so is still seemingly larger than normal.
He suggested a whole load of progesterone only treatments - mini pill, depo injection & implant and hysterectomy didn't seem out of the question. He didn't suggest ablation until I asked about it but seemed open to the idea when I did.....not sure why he didn't propose it though?!? Apparently i couldn't have Novasure ablation due to the shape of my womb but could have it done "manually" and would require an injection of something to shrink my womb a few weeks beforehand.
So I'm not sure......hysterectomy seems too drastic (especially as he said it would be unlikely to be keyhole due to size of uterus). I feel I should maybe try the mini pill although the combined one made me feel like death. At least I can stop it if it doesn't suit me unlike the implant or injection.
