I am a 30 yr old female, mother of 1 yr old son. I have an Adams apple sort of, although voice is not masculine, my periods are pretty much normal , a week every month. First few days heavy flow , then next few days light.
During my ultrasounds when I was pregnant, docs discovered a few water cysts too that fluctuated In size. Although doc said it's Nothing to be concerned about.
I had no trouble conceiving. Infact just on our first sex I was able to conceive although implantation hurted a lot.
I also have hirsutism like slight facial hair on upper lip. And my son has that too. I am wondering if hormones passing to him via breast milk.
Does it sound like I have PCOS or something similar. Am I at risk of bad future health

Hi Sarah, Flowers and don’t worry. If you and your son have the same upper lip it sounds like a family feature. Are their other female family members you could discuss this with?

A swelling in your neck (what you describe as an Adam’s apple) could indicate a thyroid problem.
I would ask your GP to check your thyroid function.

I would also suggest you see a GP re possible issues re your thyroid gland. This needs checking out further.

Oh yes. Now I remember my obgyn told me during my pregnancy regarding my tsh levels being little out of range. I remember she said it's nothing to worry. If required we will give injection. However I think I never required it.
Is it something serious btw from future health perspective

Thyroid problems can get worse, yes so I would get this checked sooner rather than later.

It's called a goiter and is caused by thyroid issues. I have a slight one and GP said just to have my thyroid levels checked regularly
