Mammograms - is regular screening happening?

Just wondered if people still getting called for regular mammograms these days? It must nearly be the time when I am in the right age category and I'm just wondering if it's all still happening? I don't mean ones where you find a lump, just the regular screening...I think it's aged 50+?

I just got called for mine - just the regular one as per usual, and the mobile centre is parked in Morrisons car park as per usual. I'm in east central Scotland, so NHS Lothian. Various health board areas may well be different I guess...

I had mine a few weeks ago in the usual mobile unit.

Yes (South East) and all very well organised

I didn’t get my first until I was 52 because the mobile unit only comes every 3 years so you are not always given an appointment at 50.

I started at 47, they were trialling it on younger women here. The van comes very regularly here (local community hospital) or you can choose to go to one of the main hospitals in the same trust. I got a letter inviting me to make an appointment and was booked in for the following week.

That's brilliant! And yes I heard about some women having them earlier as part of a trial. Glad they're still happening.

I was called early too. Was called for my regular one last month.
