Any one around knowledgeable in herbal supplements and effects on mini pill? Or know of Get Nourished?

I've been looking into supplements to take for my peri symptoms and also joint/muscle/exercise recovery (in my 40s and a runner) and am about to order from a company (Get Nourished).

Based on a lifestyle questionnaire they've prescribed the following which will be in a jelly (looks like a fruit pastille) however I'm taking Zeletta mini pill ... will any of these ingredients interfere with it do you know? I've spoken to a pharmacist this am who say as it's classed as a food supplement they're not trained to advise. The company themselves say to scale to a pharmacist or GP. I need to try and call my docs first thing to get a telephone consultation tomorrow (ha! Chances of getting through zero).

Any ideas before I try the hell which is getting a docs appointment for a two minute telephone appointment?

Why don't you take supplements separately one by one first and then are the effects instead of taking a cocktail. The mix above may or may not effect the mini pill as it depends on what amount is being added. For example , ginger is anti inflammatory and good for joints but taken in high doses can induce periods. So if your purpose of taking mini pill is to have no periods then it might be a problem.

Hi Literally, thanks for replying. That's interesting about ginger, I had no idea!

I've decided (after a pharmacist and my GP both were unable to say whether they would interfere or not as being classed as food supplements there's not sufficient evidence) not to go down this route and stick to a combination of good multi vitamin, glucosamine and omega 3 for now as I know I'm ok with these. I need to address some peri symptoms that have been getting me down but I think this is worth talking to the doc about separately as HRT may be where I want to go ... another thread/board entirely Grin

I think I was swayed by the "natural and sugar free" angle. And I won't lie, it's in cute packaging and a giant sweet but possibly a gimmick!
