Hi all

I'm 21 and have a beautiful 5 month old daughter, I've had abdo pain for months and after bloods I've been told I have high ca125 levels & that I'll be seen by my gynae consultant ASAP. Has anyone been here? It's just me and my girl so I'm stressing myself out and dr google has made it worse.

How high are your CA125 levels?. Have they given you an actual level?.

CA125 levels can also be elevated by endometriosis (which can also affect the intestines and cause abdominal pain). Do not use Dr Google again; its not helpful and besides which you need a proper diagnosis.

Hi I have a one year old and after suffering burning, stabbing pain in my ovaries/womb area my ca125 levels were slightly raised (in 50s) and I was sent for emergency scan which was clear aside from my polycystic ovaries. I then saw a gynae who wasn't worried about the levels but offered me a laparoscopy for endometriosis but said it's likely they'll find nothing. With covid I'm not holding out hope it'll be any time soon. Do you know what your levels were and what is your pain like?

Tumour matters such as ca125 should never be used for diagnostic purposes. They can be raised for all kinds of reasons. Try not to panic: being seen by a gynae soon is good news.
