Triptan side affects

I suffer with migraine and had been taking Sumatriptan. However they weren't working for me and so the doctor prescribed Maxalt which is a brand of Rizatriptan. They seem to work better but make me feel really weird for some time. My body aches, I feel really tired and working is a struggle. Has anyone else found a Triptan that didn't adversely affect them in this way? Many thanks!

I take Sumatriptan, they make me very tired and a bit light headed but they do get rid of my migraines 90% of the time x

Sumatriptan tablets used to knock me out.
Sumatriptan nasal sprays were side effect free, but stopped working at all after about 15yrs.
Naratriptan had no side effects, but didn't work for many doses.
Rizatriptan made me nauseated with the awful taste, and didn't work at all.
Zolmitriptan tablets make me shaky and my face really hurts.
Zolmitriptan nasal sprays don't have any side effects.
Frovatriptan tablets don't have any side effects.

They are very personal in how they affect you tbh.

Thanks for that. I think I may have to ask for an alternative again then. The headache seems to have subsided but I still feel the awful side effects after taking the tablet at half 9 this morning.

Been on sumatriptan for years, they work about 90% of the time but always get side effects. Nausea, light headedness, a sort of warm tingly feeling in extremities and my face, and severe exhaustion. I'd rather those side effects than the migraines thigh 😭

Ime.
Sumatriptan nasal spray has fewer side effects. I had to switch to suma injections (abdominal migraine) which for some reason my GP hates to issue.
The melts make me yawn excessively and pills don't work.
The main side of the injections are the vivid dreams.
