Wind incontinence

I'm 6.5 months on after a forceps delivery and struggling with wind incontinence. Basically if I'm standing or walking I just cannot hold in wind. It's horribly embarrassing and causing me great anxiety. I now avoid social situations and it's making me feel lonely and worried about the future.
I've just had my second appointment with a women's health physio and she thinks my pelvic floor strength has improved slightly (although she wasn't sure at first so I'm not convinced she wasn't just trying to make me feel better).
I've read a few posts where people have said it improved after a few months while I've seen no improvement in nearly 7 months.
Has anyone experienced this? What was the outcome? I'm due to go back to work in March and feel like I'll have to resign if this doesn't get better Sad

Have you tried to separate wind continence issue with delivery and then tried to treat it. Yes, wind incontinence can be caused by weak pelvic floor muscles but you might have entirely different problem like hormonal imbalance ( very common after pregnancy), IBS - can be triggered at anytime in your life specially after a stressful period (looking after a newborn, lack of sleep) , too much of some vitamins ( specially b9 and b12), lactose intolerance ( common after pregnancy as some women go off milk during pregnancy because of nausea which sometimes lead to no lactase enzyme in the body ) , constipation or diarrhea ( incomplete bowel evacuation can cause a lot of wind to be built up which just cannot stay inside), use of products containing simethicone (Maalox or similar for acid reflux).

@Literallyfedup I don't think I have any digestive issues. I luckily don't have that much wind as that would be even worse Confused It's just that I have absolutely no control over when it escapes. In the past I could hold it until a more appropriate moment which is what I assume most people do.
