So...do you think we can control when we have a period?

Endometriosis sufferer here. Since my symptoms have worsened (around 2years) I always get my period either in a holiday or at the weekend. My cycle varies between 28-35days. I'm a teacher so having it at work would be a nightmare, even with all my medications.

It's almost like my brain can control it? This month I'm 5days "late". I suspected it was because I was due in the week. Lo and behold period arrives today.

Is there a science behind this? Is it really just a massive coincidence?'

Could be coincidence or you are just lucky. I am at the opposite end. I will get my period on the day when I least want it. So I had my periods on all my planned holidays bar one (I took norethindrone to delay it). I remember the day I was leaving for France, I was rolling my luggage out and was all set to leave and I got my period as I was locking my home- 5 day early. But worst was Tenerife. I booked my holiday on the start of 3rd week of my cycle so I was covered for an early/late period by 7 days. My period delayed by 15 days. I got it as I was checking in the hotel.
The worst part of my story is that when I am least bothered then my cycle is 28 days exact😅.

Control when it happen no, others may be able to, but when I was 18 I could predict it down the minute, I guess I could now if I put my mind to it is very regular but I want it go away and never have it again!
