Hydrosalpinx and pain

Hi all,

I've been having significant pain on my right side and exhaustion during ovulation and around the time of my period. I had a Doppler scan today and was told I had a hydrosalpinx on my right side (most likely from peritonitis and subsequent surgery after my first child). I didn't get given much information at this stage (my next appt is in a few weeks) so have turned to Google. Most links talk about the need to remove tubes etc to restore fertility. There isn't much out there regarding any risks of hydrosalpinges in themselves or how to manage any pain from them. I got the impressions from the doc mine was quite large Does anyone have any experience of a hydrosalpinx causing pain?
And what is the advise for treating them if you aren't as such planning a future pregnancy. I can accept that I am done with my baby making and am really reluctant for any more surgery in this area (not eveb sure they would even perform a laproscopy on me as I likely have lots of adhesions.) What are my options otherwise to manage the pain? .
Thanks for any help!

Hi
I had bilateral hydrosalpinx, I have lower abdominal pain from bowel adhesions and IBS anyway so not sure it's related

My gynaecologist said that as I didn't want another pregnancy it was fine to leave it and that the tubes may just shrivel to nothing

However on the next scan they had completely cleared!!!!

I have no idea what goes on down there
