Can private healthcare work like this?

Sorry if this gets long, I really hope someone can provide an answer.

Is it possible to get private healthcare for yearly pelvic scans/swabs?

5yrs ago I had dd1. About 4yrs ago I started getting pain during sex and irregular bleeding. I was scanned and told they couldnt see anything, also swabbed which was all negative. No further investigation. My gp was supposed to refer me to a gynecologist but didnt, twice. Tbh I felt like she thought I was making it up. I was waiting for the referral letter the 2nd time when the problem sort of went away on it's own. The letter never came.

2yrs ago I had dd2. Last year I got bad pain during sex again and started having very clot heavy periods. Gp did swabs again, negative. I was scanned again. I was told there was a little bit of fluid there that could have been a burst cyst but couldnt be sure. Gp suggested I might have endometriosis. I dont think i do. She said she could put me on the pill to see if that helps. I said I didnt want to do that and I wanted to know what was wrong with me but she said I had to try the pill for 3m before theyd do anything else.

These days I just get occasional mild pain during sex and my periods have calmed down. However, since last week while going to the bathroom after sex there is a pink tinge to the "gunk"

This whole thing gives me bad anxiety and I've bloody hated not feeling believed or supported by the gp. I'd love to be able to book in private for a yearly "womans health" MOT but does that exist?

You could book, and pay, privately for a gynaecologist however often you like. Just google private gynaecologist & the name of your town & the ones nearest to you will pop up. I know spire hospitals do women’s healthcare. Having spent years in the NHS gynae system I understand your anxiety & concerns along with your experience of not being listened to or believed!

Bupa do wellness checks which can include a smear and time with a gp amongst other things.

Similar here. I have sharp pains/dull ache pains but apparently nothing there. Just tested my urine. I’ve always had Gynea issues. Endo, eptopic pregnancies,Twisted ovary, had the HVP virus at one point but apparently it’s gone now .. GP sent me away with a cave man diet sheet. 🥴

I’m actually scared I have some form of cancer.

Thank you for the replies. There is a spire clinic in my local city so I will give them a call

I'm at a point where I dont care if I'm being believed or not but if I could get a yearly scan and check up and they cant see anything my mind would be put at ease. If I'm paying for it I dont think I could be made to feel like I'm wasting anyones time.

Since I was 16 I've read awful stories of these horrid silent cancers killing young mums and it annoys me so much to be told "well we did scan you 3 years ago and found nothing at all but if you really want another scan..."
