Panicking about symptoms.

I need someone to talk me down, I've just filled in an excruciatingly detailed report of my symptoms and will then have a GP call me before Tuesday.

I noticed about 8 weeks ago that intercourse (piv) felt different, not painful but uncomfortable like there was a lot of air being forced into my bottom which wasn't comfortable. Obviously we stopped and didn't think a lot more of it.

This has happened a few times now every time in missionary position.

This is combined with a dragging, ache in my pelvis at all times and a swollen, somethings not right feeling down below (like when a tampon isn't inserted properly) nothing looks amiss though.

Then I started getting vaginal bleeding after having my bowels open. This has happened about 4 times in as many weeks, nothing major just a bloodied discharge when wiping both areas and only with a bowel movement not after a wee.

So I googled. Of course I shouldn't have but I did because that's who I am. All results pointed to cancer websites and now I'm terrified.

My smears are always clear but I have had constant inflammation on my cervix for a long time and have seen the GP, on examination it's always very inflamed and bleeds at the slightest touch but never have I been referred to a gynaecologist which at this point I need to push for.

I'm so scared about it all. Can anyone give me a supporting shoulder punch or something so I'm not alone.

Push for a referral to gynaecology and don't let them fob you off.

I've not experienced those exact symptoms but I was referred to gynaecology in June for some weird pelvic pain and some growths showing on ultrasound. I googled too and my symptoms pointed to Ovarian cancer which was pretty scary. It turned out to be a fibroid and a large dermoid ovarian cyst but not cancerous so stay away from google (I think you could put pretty much anything into google and it will return something scary!)

Hope you get an answer soon (insert supporting shoulder punch here).

Thank you, I'm hoping one of the actual women's health drs call me or our lovely women's health nurse.

I'm just desperate for the consultation to be over, if I've got a prolapse or something I want to know so I can stop panicking that it's something more.

I've spoke to the GP (luckily it was the lovely women's health dr) she's going to see me tomorrow for an examination and a urine dip but I'll need a scan and she suspects a prolapse of one or more pelvis organs. Sad
I have EDS and was warned this could happen as I'm so hyper mobile.

Good that she's going to see you quickly so you know what you're dealing with. Not knowing just makes everything worse.

I was very relieved to hear the words fibroid and cyst even though I'm now waiting for a hysterectomy - a much better outcome for me than cancer (I'm 45 and done with having babies otherwise I wouldn't be so chilled about it).

Fingers crossed for something easily fixable.

Glad you have an appointment with someone who is on the ball. It is time you had a referral to a gynaecologist. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.
