long story short have had the above for over 10 years. after enduring many painful treatments i was lucky when i moved to where i am now a Dr prescribed tablets which worked fine.
i am careful to only drink decaffeinated drinks all the things they tell you and apart from ordinary cystitis now and again been fine last 3 years.
on saturday i started feeling a lot of pain in my lower tummy a dragging feeling between my legs in my bladder area and back ache so i thought oh water infection. Tuesday i got a sample to Dr for testing.
Dr rang today and said no infection so i said well its not that straight forward i feel like my urethra and bladder have been sandpapered plus when i want to pass water even though i can be bursting i have to really push to get it out bit like pushing in labour.
she was bit alarmed and said well dont take the tablets for now i take them at night and ring me friday to let me know how you are. if not improving might need a catheter but being so sore dont think i could stand that.
i am lucky being able to stop in and rest but tomorrow i face a long car journey and a few hours with my family as its my grandsons birthday. there is no way i am discussing it with them and i really want to see them but i am wondering how i will manage. due to covid i doubt i will be able to use their bathroom. TMI but usually on way i pop behind a hedge etc i certainly cant do that.
the heavy dragging feeling hurts so much and i find it hard to sit properly im almost lying in my chair so sitting in deckchairs is going to be fun.
i know that I will probably take some paracetamol to help before i go but i wondered if anyone had had an attack like this and how they coped or did anything to help?
many thanks for reading

I would call 111 immediately - this sounds more serious than a regular uti.
