Urgent gynae referral

Need some reassurance. I had a polypectomy two weeks ago, my womb was full of them apparently. A biopsy was done as a previous ultrasound had shown a very thick womb lining - 23mm - I'm 48. I also had a Mirena coil fitted at the same time as this is the first line of treatment for a thick lining. Today I've had a call from the hospital asking me to go and see the gynae consultant this Thursday and now I'm bricking it! Endometrial hyperplasia was mentioned two weeks ago but now I've convinced myself all sorts of nasty stuff is going on.

I don't want to read and run. Wishing you goodluck today x

DramaAlpaca · 21/05/2020 01:00

Try not to panic. Chances are all will be well. Best of luck today Flowers

Thank you. I have to go to a hospital in the next county, about an hour's drive, so leaving in about 20 minutes. My heart is beating really fast and I'm on the verge of tears much of the time. DH isn't allowed to come in with me either.

@DivisionBelles hope things went OK for you today. How difficult that you had to go in alone. No need to reply if you don't want to, just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you today Flowers

Not the best news unfortunately. Grade 1 womb cancer, but apparently very treatable. I will have to have a full hysterectomy and ovary removal in a couple of weeks. I wasn't really expecting it, so have been a bit tearful this afternoon. Keeping positive though.

So sorry to hear this @DivisionBelles but glad the prognosis is positive.

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 21/05/2020 18:31

Oh bless you. That's crap news but at least it is very treatable and you need to hang tightly onto that information.

Go ahead and have a really good cry. It will make you feel better xx

DramaAlpaca · 21/05/2020 18:40

Oh, OP. I'm so sorry to hear that. Thank God it's treatable, but you must be in shock.

Like a pp says, have a good cry and then be kind to yourself

Hannsmum · 22/05/2020 09:09

Im really sorry.was hoping for better news. Big big hugs

Juanmorebeer · 22/05/2020 09:17
