Hi,
My pelvic reveals a 3.7cm submucous fibroid which indents the endometrium and gives me very heavy periods.I had a chat with NHS gynaecologist on 20th March and she prescribed me Cerazette 75mcg to take 2 at the same time every day.I have been warned about possible irregular bleedings.I bled for fist week of taking them, then it stopped for few days. Then I started to bleed again.I also have non stop period-like pelvic pain.In the last 9 days I have been feeling quite nauseous and get very painful cramps. Also passed large (4-5cm) blood clots. I lost 4kg since I started these pills.I has a telephone appointment with my GP 2 days ago and she advised to continue with Cerazette and wait.
I went on Qlaira tablets before and it was ok for one year, but then irregular bleeding started,so moved to Cerazette..
I am getting really depressed about painful bleeding so constantly.
Cannot make a gynaecologist appointment as all routine procedures are currently suspended due to COVID-19 so just seeing if anyone has had the same experience of Cerazette? Is it normal with these pills?
I am non stop in pain and I am very fed up!

I can't remember which pill it was but my GP gave me something to try and give me some relief from heavy bleeding (also caused by fibroids) and I bled every day for the 3 weeks I took it. Only lightly, but still enough to require some protection. Then I had a migraine having never had one before and I had to come off it. This was on top of having a Mirena coil which was meant to relieve the bleeding and didn't (it also fell out during a particularly heavy bleed!).
I got an NHS gynae appointment and they really seemed to be pushing Esmya which I really wasn't keen to take given how terrible I felt on the pill and reading about the side effects of it.
I ended up going private (medical cover through work) and had uterine artery embolisation which seems to be working well. My periods are quite frequent still but much lighter and more manageable than they were before. I'd highly recommend it if it's an option for you. Keep pushing for appointments and treatment!
