Pain during ovulation, birth control and conceiving

I have extreme pain during ovulation week, it lasts 3 to 4 days, always on the right side, I have mood swings, stomach pain, headaches, nausea, leg cramps, back pain...the usual but also pain during sex.
I've seen my GP, no examination done but she did take blood, at first she thought I was starting menopause but I'm only 33 so ruled that out, so she wants to put me on the pill to stop me ovulating. Blood work came back fine and shes now pushing for the pill but we want children and because I'm 33 and hes 35 we want to have a baby soonish. Told the doctor this but she still wants me to go on the pill for a few years then try for a baby.

I feel like I'm being fobbed off. I've asked for a referral to a gynecologists but she refused and told me to speak to another doctor in the surgery.

One of my main concerns is conceiving, I wont ovulate if I'm on the pill but I cant stand the pain any longer, paracetamol and ibuprofen dont work anymore.

Any advice would be great

You are being fobbed off. Why were you not referred?. Such problems are often well outside a GPs remit in any case.

Speak to another doctor in the surgery and insist on being referred to a gynaecologist. I would also consider putting in a complaint to the practice manager.

Your symptoms to me sound indicative of endometriosis being present (and the deep pain during sex is a good indicator of that too). Any symptoms that are cyclical in nature and or get worse up to and including menses should be checked thoroughly and by a gynae to see if endometriosis is the root cause. Blood tests would not detect endo if it is there nor would internal ultrasound scans. It is usually detected through a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy.

You will need to be persistent in order to get answers.

I had my baby 8 weeks ago and my episiotomy has apparently healed 'perfectly'. However, I am still experiencing pain inside my vagina. I've been told its due to scar tissue and that I just have to give it time to heal but it feels like its getting worse. I'm constantly aware of the discomfort when I sit or stand and it stings to pee. A doctor told me to try and massage the scar tissue with oil. I did this twice with almond oil and I feel like its made things worse. Also, I could actually feel that the inside wall of my vagina was very tight. They may have stitched me up too tight (btw - this is on the opposite side to my episiotomy scar).

Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any suggestions on how to speed up healing please?

Also, did anyone apply castor oil internally to heal scar tissue?

This is my 1st baby after IVF at 41 and the pain and discomfort is really taking away from my joy. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Numann

I would get this properly looked at by a GP and in the meantime do not self treat the area.
