What's causing this feeling?

Hello. I'm getting an appointment booked asap. I've not had much luck with my periods since my child was born 2 years ago. I'm always anemic. My periods are every 24 days and last six days. 4 days of this is heavy. I often leak through several pairs of PJ's or jeans on day 3/4.

I always feel discomfort around ovulation. Usually my left ovary aches for a day or two.

Lately I've been getting sort of mild achy pressure in my womb area. Like I'm aware of it. It sometimes feels like it shoots through that area if I sit down to quick. My toddler sat on my tummy messing about the other night. It didn't hurt me as such but that area had a twinge of shock go through it if that makes sense.

Sometimes I'm getting tiny bits of pink or brown in my discharge in between periods. Especially when I ovulate too. I seem to get alot more discharge now too. It's healthy and not smelly. Just a high amount.

I was told I had a fibroid when I was having one of my kids. It wasn't in an area to affect the baby though.

I'm due a smear. I don't feel this is linked to my cervix though. I have private healthcare insurance and I'm thinking of asking the GP to refer me so I can have a full check. I feel I need a scan. In the past when I've ever been to the gp with issues in that area they won't entertain anything before you've had swabs for stis and smears. This is another reason I think it will be better to go private. It currently takes 6 weeks for a routine appointment as they are short staffed.

I'm in an 8 year relationship with two children. We use condoms and have not had unprotected sex for three years. We rarely have sex either due to a toddler hanging about in the bed. So no chance of it being anything grim!

Have you considered it could be Mittelschmerz?

But I would see GP just to confirm

Could it be a prolapse?

@elisheva

I have just looked it up. I don't know. Definitely nothing in the front way. But how do you know about the back? Would that cause discomfort in the womb area?

I've had similar symptoms and my dr was not concerned. She said ovulation pain and some light occasional spotting was 'allowed.' Spotting around ovulation is apparently quite common. I wondered about a cyst but a scan showed nothing up. She also ran bloods testing for ovarian cancer but that was clear too.
I think you'd be best booking a smear and asking for some swabs, and maybe also see GP for an examination and/or referral for a ultrasound.

I don’t know. I was just thinking about the pressure sensation you described. Did they investigate the fibroid at all?
