Pelvic organ prolapse grade with successful pessary treatment?

Hi there

I've got uterine, rectocele and cytocele prolapses and have been trying pessarys to avoid surgery. None of them stay in place or fall out, I've tried the polo mint, do nut, schatz, cube and bicycle pump type thing.
With no pessary (they usually help for an hour then start coming down) my walking and standing very uncomfortable. My last baby was 6 yrs ago and the pop symptoms seem worse after endometrial ablation in August.

Has anyone found any solutions for symptoms like mine as it is getting me down, I've 4 kids in total and not being mobile is difficult.

Thank you

It sounds as though surgery would be justified tbh as you are only young ( given you have a 6 year old).
Have a look at the kegel 8 website there are some pelvic toners on there that may help.

Caninelover thanks, I have one and it has been good for the bladder control but not so much for rectocele

I'm older but for me hysterectomy was the answer. I couldn't keep a pessary in either but hysterectomy with cystocele and rectocele repair stopped the problem. The day after surgery when I got out of bed and then sat in a chair, I was so happy to feel comfortable again. If you don't want any more children, that's the answer.

RossPoldarkFan - Thanks for the info, it is lovely to hear that you had a positive experience when was your surgery and how old are if you don't mind me asking?
I did look at the prolapse FB group but found it scary with negative surgery tales. did you have any of the vault prolapse, forgot what the medical term is? I'm concerned that the vagina will prolapse if no womb, happy that family complete but poor quality of life at the mo. It seems that 10ys is the measure of surgery but hopefully I would have longer than that by a good few years!

Thx

Have you tried the sea sponge pessary?

Yes, it was OK, but not supportive enough, I think I cut it too sml so just ordered another.
