Breastfeeding and constipation

Hey moms!
I found an old thread on this topic but no solution.
I've been majorly constipated since I was 6 months pregnant. My baby is now 3 months old and the constipation is worse than ever. I am breastfeeding so thinking it could be due to hormones but there has to be something I can do.
I am eating a lot of fibre and taking supplements every day as well as milk of magnesia every night. I'm drinking 2-3 litres of water a day so that's not my issue either. I'm also exercising everyday.
Glycerin suppositories are the only thing that offer me any relief at all and even that is very temporary and doesn't do much for the buildup I know is in my intestins.
I'm thinking about trying acupuncture because I'm out of other ideas. Any suggestions on what else I can do?

You need Movicol

DS was the same, lactulose sorted it out - we were given Movicol but couldn't get him to drink it, as it tastes foul, even mixed with a bottle of expressed milk. Ask your GP before trying lactulose though, as although it's available OTC you'll need to let them know. We gave 2.5ml twice daily till he was regular again.

What I'm going to do next baby is pump loads of milk at the beginning when it's all yellow from colostrum - we had a few bags in the freezer that we used for constipation till they ran out (colostrum is a natural laxative).

@HavelockVetinari I think she's constipated not the baby Smile
